As part of Love2Shops' Security processes, the Secret for the API to allow for rewards to be issued is only valid for 12 months.

Love2Shop will send you an email in the month before your secret expires. The email will contain a one-time link with your new secret in it. 

We recommend that you update the secret in the Mention Me platform as soon as you receive it to not delay any rewards owed to your customers.

Follow these simple steps to update the secret:
 

1. On the Mention Me platform, click View from your Love2Shop Reward Provider
    

   

2. On the Client Secret section, click the padlock to set a new secret
    

   

3. Click on the link from the Love2Shop Email and copy the new secret
   • The link is only available to be accessed once
   • If you need to get a new link, reach out to the Love2Shop API Team APITeam@love2shop.co.uk
      
4. Paste the new secret into the Client Secret box
    
5. Leave all the other settings as is and press Save changes
   

6. Repeat the above steps for each Mention Me account you have connected to Love2Shop for issuing vouchers
