Mention Me strongly advises the use of a password manager for managing the password(s) used to access your Mention Me dashboard.
The platform will enforce that passwords must be ten characters or greater and consist of a mix of at least one of each of the following groups:
- English uppercase characters (A...Z)
- English lowercase characters (a…z)
- Base 10 digits (0…9)
- Non-alphanumeric characters selected from the following: ! “ $ % ^ & * ( ) - _ = + [ ] { } ; : ‘ @ # ~ , < . > / ? \ |
In the absence of a password manager, we strongly advise that passwords should follow best practices, such as avoiding common terms or words (e.g. memorable dates such as birthdays, or words such as job title, company name or addresses) and by using a collection of words rather than a single phrase.
Recommended approaches for passwords are covered by the National Security Cyber Security Centre or other government bodies and security organisations and we always advise all users to follow these recommendations.
