About the Attentive integration

Our integration lets you:
- Grow your contact database by sending real-time email marketing opt-ins to Attentive
- Enhance your referral data for personalised SMS campaigns and coupon reminders
- Improve your segmentation with first-party referral data
Prerequisites

Request from Attentive - A unique signUpSourceId for Mention Me to allow new email subscribers to be added to your Attentive account via Mention Me. You can request the specific ID from your Attentive CSM or via whiteglove@attentivemobile.com

Your login credentials for the Attentive account where you would like to install the integration. If you have multiple Attentive accounts, be sure you are logged in to the desired account before starting the setup process.
You will need access to the Mention Me platform (If you do not have access, reach out to your Mention Me CSM who can help give you access).
How to get started
Once you have your signUpSourceId from Attentive, you can begin to set up the integration immediately.
1-Log in to the Attentive platform
Log into your Attentive account you want to connect to confirm the signUpSourceId created by Attentive is available. Go to Sign-up Units -> Look for the Mention Me sign-up method and note the specific ID in the ID column.
If an ID has not been generated for Mention Me yet, contact the Attentive team.

2-Log into the Mention Me platform
On the Mention Me platform, and Click Connect to begin the connection process
3-Agree Terms and Conditions (if applicable)
- Agree to the Terms and Conditions to allow Mention Me to transfer data to Attentive on your behalf (If applicable. If you have already done this, then this will be skipped).
4-Enter your signupSourceID
Enter the signupSourceID from Step 1 and select Next
This must be 6 numbers long and contain only numbers, no letters or other characters
5-Connect your Attentive Account
- Create a new authentication
- Name your connection (If you have multiple Attentive accounts, we suggest that you name the connection that reflects your Attentive account)

Log in with your Attentive details (if not already logged on)
If you have multiple Attentive Accounts, ensure you are logged in to the Correct Attentive Account you want to set up the integration for (i.e. if you are setting up the integration for the US, make sure to select your US Attentive Account)
- Grant Mention Me permission to access your Attentive account
6-Select the countries you want to sync with Attentive
- Select the country(s) you want to sync to your Attentive account
Top Tip: Depending on which countries you use Attentive in, you can select to only send data from from specific Mention Me enabled countries
7-Finalise installation
Click Finish to finalise the setup and a message will be shown confirming that the integration has been successfully completed.
From this point, Mention Me events and contacts will start syncing to your Attentive account and you can start to create Attentive journeys. If you need any further information and help, reach out to your Mention Me CSM.
8-Multiple Account Setup (optional)
If you would like to integrate to another Attentive account (i.e. if you have a separate account for the UK or US) , click Connect Another Account and repeat the above steps.
