How to Set Up Bloomreach with Mention Me

About the Mention Me Integration

Activate your biggest fans by feeding first-party advocacy data directly into your core marketing automation platform—enabling higher engagement, retention, and revenue across your customer base.

What the Integration Enables

• Send contact data and opt-ins from Mention Me referred customers to Bloomreach in real time
• Use referral data to power coupon email reminders
• Segment and target high-value customers with referral and advocacy data to enhance other marketing channels

Prerequisites

• Bloomreach: Access to create private API keys
• Mention Me: Access to the Mention Me Platform.
  If not, contact your Mention Me CSM or submit a support request.

Step 1: Create Mention Me Events in Bloomreach (Optional)

Only required if your Bloomreach project prevents 3rd parties from creating events via the API. If you're unsure—check with your Bloomreach Admin.

1. Log in to Bloomreach
2. Navigate to Data & Assets Data Manager Events

Create the following events (case-sensitive):

• registered_as_referee
• registered_as_referrer
• received_referee_reward
• received_referrer_reward
• submitted_nps_score
• received_reward_next_order
• propensity_to_refer

Step 2: Create API Keys in Bloomreach

1. Log in to Bloomreach
2. Go to Project Settings Access Management API

3. Create a new API group for Mention Me with private access

4. Copy the API Secret (you’ll only see it once)

5. Copy your:
   • API Key
   • Project Token
   • Base URL

6. Set the API access permissions under:
   • Customer Properties
   • Events

Step 3: Set Up Integration in Mention Me

1. Login to Mention Me and click Connect

2. Agree to Mention Me’s Terms and Conditions if required

3. Click New Authentication

4. Name the authentication & project for clear ID

5. Enter:
   • API Key
   • API Secret
   • Project Token
   • Base URL

6. Click Next

7. Select the Consent Category opt-ins should map to

Mention Me captures opt-ins during the referee or post-purchase flow.

8. If using a custom identifier (instead of the default 'registered'), enter it; otherwise click Authorise

If this value is incorrect, contacts won't be created or updated.

9. Select the country/countries you want to sync

You can choose to sync from only specific Mention Me-selected countries.

10. Click Connect to finalize setup

Once connected, Mention Me events and customer data will flow into Bloomreach. Use this data in Scenarios and segmentation.

Mention Me provides ready-made Scenarios and Segments you can use instantly within Bloomreach.
