About the Prebuilt Journey
With this prebuilt Attentive journey, you can remind your existing customers to use the coupon codes they received after successfully referring a friend to your brand.
This helps increase repeat purchase rates by prompting referrers to redeem their reward.
This does not replace the initial reward email that Mention Me sends to the customer upon a successful referral. This journey is an additional touchpoint to boost re-engagement.
Basic Workflow
- A customer receives a coupon via SMS after referring a friend.
- If they haven’t made a purchase, another SMS will remind them of their coupon code.
Reminders are sent at strategic intervals to encourage redemption.

Prerequisites
- An active Mention Me referral program
- An active Attentive account
- Mention Me / Attentive integration enabled
Steps to Activate
- Log in to your Attentive account and navigate to Journeys → Prebuilt Journeys.

Installing the Coupon Reminder Journey -
Received a Referrer Reward from Mention Me is the pre-selected journey trigger.

Update wait periods to align with your coupon validity. Defaults are included.
Set the wait times before reminders -
Label each message for easy tracking.
Clear message naming helps with reporting -
Mention Me provides default message content with suggested personalisation variables. You can use these or write your own message.

Use the "Preview" option in Attentive to check your message before launch.
