About the prebuilt journey
With this prebuilt Attentive journey, you can promote your referral programme and encourage those customers already enrolled to share.
Note: This does not replace the initial emails that Mention Me sends the customer once they have enrolled in your referral program. This is an additional touch-point that you can utilise to encourage them to share and keep on sharing
Basic workflow
- An existing customer of your brand registers for your referral program and gets their unique sharelink via SMS which they can pass on to their friends
- If they have made a purchase since joining your referral program, a thank you SMS is sent and they are encouraged to keep on sharing to get more discounts (their sharelink is included in the SMS)
- If they have not made a purchase since joining your referral program, a reminder SMS is sent to encourage them to share (their sharelink is included in the SMS)
Note: Reminders are sent at different times to keep reminding customers to keep on sharing
Activating the Journey
Prerequisites
- An active Mention Me referral program
- An active Attentive account
- Mention Me / Attentive integration enabled
Steps to activate
- Login to your Attentive Account and go to Journeys -> Prebuilt Journeys
- Select the Mention Me - Promote Referral journey to install
- The Registered as a Referrer from Mention Me journey trigger is the pre-selected entry point in the program
- Update the wait periods to suit your own strategy. Mention Me has created the journeys using some default wait periods (to send out multiple reminders).
- Name each of the messages to something that is easy for you to track
- Mention Me has created some default content with suggested variables (for your SMS body) to help you formulate the right message. You can either use the default content or create your own message.
Top Tip: If creating your own messages, make sure to include the personalisation variables.
