About the Mention Me integration

Our integration lets you
- Grow your marketing database. Send opt-ins / contacts in real-time to mParticle
- Easily activate Mention Me data across various downstream systems and marketing tools integrated with mParticle, such as email marketing platforms, ad networks, and CRM systems
- Enhance the performance of other marketing channels by using referral data to segment and target high-value customers
Prerequisites

mParticle
- You need to be able to create Access Credentials for your integration.
- You need to know the name of your GDPR Consent Purposes used for email opt-ins.
- Mention Me – You’ll need access to the Mention Me platform. If you don’t have access, contact your CSM or request support here.
Step 1. Add Mention Me Feed Input to mParticle
1. Login to mParticle with access to add Inputs.
2. If you have more than one workspace, select the main workspace that stores your customer data.
3. Go to Setup → Inputs → Add Feed Input.
4. Select Mention Me from the drop-down.
- If Mention Me is not available, select Custom Event.
5. Fill in the following details and press Save:
- Configuration Name
- Set Feed to Active
- Set Permissions to Create & Update Profiles
6. Copy the following values before pressing Close:
- Server-to-Server Key
- Server-to-Server Secret
Step 2. Set up the integration in Mention Me
Now, complete the integration setup in Mention Me:
1. Log in to the Mention Me platform and click Connect.
2. Agree to the Terms and Conditions to allow Mention Me to transfer data to mParticle (if prompted).
3. Click New Authentication.
4. Name your authentication. For multi-account setups, use descriptive names; otherwise, use the default.
5. Enter the following from Step 1 and click Save:
- API Key
- API Secret
6. Enter the name of the GDPR consent purpose category to assign opt-ins from Mention Me. Learn more about consent purposes here.
Mention Me captures opt-ins during the referee journey or at post-purchase for a specific newsletter sign-up offer.
7. Select the country or countries to sync to your mParticle account.
If you operate in multiple countries, you can choose to sync opt-in data from specific Mention Me enabled countries.
8. Click Connect to finalise setup. You will see a confirmation message once complete.
From this point, Mention Me events and contacts will begin syncing to your mParticle account. You can start using Mention Me data in mParticle to sync with other downstream tools.
