Step-by-Step Setup
Preliminary Setup with Giftcloud
Before connecting platforms, speak with your Mention Me contact and a Giftcloud representative regarding:
- Which gift cards you’d like to use
- Reward denominations (e.g., £10, $25, €50)
- Reward validation window (e.g., how long after friend purchase is the reward issued?)
- Territory-specific rewards if running campaigns across multiple countries or languages
Once your contract with Giftcloud is finalised, their support team will provide you with credentials and campaign information you’ll need for integration.
Step 1: Add Giftcloud Credentials in Mention Me
1. Log in to the Mention Me platform
2. Go to: Settings & Tools → 3rd Party Integrations → Reward Providers → Set up a 3rd party reward provider
3. Select Giftcloud from the list
4. Enter the required fields:
- Name
- Username
- Password
5. Click Create
If you operate in multiple locales (e.g., UK, Germany, France), you’ll need to repeat the process and store separate credentials for each territory.
Step 2: Share Giftcloud Campaign ID(s)
Once credentials are saved:
- Send your Giftcloud Campaign ID(s) to your Mention Me onboarding project manager, client success manager, or the Support team.
- If supporting multiple locales or different reward denominations, provide a separate Campaign ID for each.
That’s it! Once everything is in place, Mention Me will complete the setup on your behalf, and your referral programme will be ready to issue digital gift cards seamlessly.
