About the Mention Me integration

Activate your biggest fans by feeding first-party advocacy data directly into your core marketing automation platform to deliver higher engagement, retention and revenue across your customer base.

Our integration lets you

• Send contact data and opt-ins from Mention Me referred customers to Ometria in real-time
• Use referral data to create coupon email reminders
• Enhance the performance of other marketing channels by using referral and advocacy data to segment and target high-value customers

Prerequisites

• Ometria - You would need to have the ability to create private API Keys to use for the setup of the Mention Me integration
  
  
• Mention Me - You will need access to the Mention Me platform (If you do not have access, reach out to your Mention Me CSM or request a support request here)

Step 1 – Sign the contract amendment 

This is only applicable in some cases. We’ll let you know if it applies to you.

Step 2 – Create an API key for Mention Me

• Log in to Ometria as an Admin
• Click -> Settings -> API Keys
  
  
  
  
• Create an API Key for Mention Me
• Name the API Key Mention Me so that you can know who it is for
• Click Create. Your new API key is displayed in the list
  
  
  
  
• Save the key to a Text file or PDF (so you can upload it to Mention Me)
  

Step 3 – Create a segment you would like the consents captured by Mention Me added to

You can choose to capture customer opt-in consent as part of your Mention Me customer journey, and then these are sent directly to Ometria without the need to download CSV files. These opt-ins can added to a Segment in Ometria as part of the Mention Me integration so you can identify the source of the new lead.

• You can use an existing Segment or create a new one specific to Mention Me.
• Creating a specific segment for Mention Me will allow you to know how many opt-ins have come from Mention Me.
  
  
  
  
• Save the segment name or Segment ID to the Text file or PDF created in Step 2 (so you can upload it to Mention Me)
  

Step 4 – Send the API key and Segment name securely to Mention Me

• Login to the Mention Me platform
  
  
• Click Upload secure file, then upload the file containing your API key and segment to the secure area

• Email your Mention Me Client Success Manager or Mention Me support to let them know you’ve uploaded this information. 

That’s it! We’ll let you know your setup is complete. Mention Me data will start syncing to your Ometria account right away.
