Why is this needed

Once you have set up your Mention Me Integration with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, you need to link the data extension that Mention Me has created to your email contact data.

This is needed so that any Mention Me customer attributes/data can be linked to your contacts to allow you to make the most of our integration.

Step 1. Login to your Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account

Log in to your Salesforce Marketing Cloud and navigate to your Email Data by:

1. Click Audience Builder.
   • Click Contact Builder
     
     
     
2. Click Email Data
   

Step 2. Link Data Extension

Now you can link the Mention Me Data Extension to your Salesforce email data so that Mention Me Data is automatically synced to your contacts

1. Click Data Extensions
   • Click Link
     
     
     
     
2. Expand the Data Extensions Folder
   • Select the Mention Me Custom Fields Data Extension
     
     
     
3. Map the Mention Me Email field to your Customer Data Email Address field
   
   
   
   
4. Click Save
   
   
   
   That’s it! Your Mention Me Customer Attributes are now linked to your Marketing Cloud Contact Data via Email Address
