How to link the Mention Me Data Extension in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC)

Why is this needed

Once you have set up your Mention Me Integration with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, you need to link the data extension that Mention Me has created to your email contact data.

This enables Mention Me customer attributes to sync with your contacts, allowing you to use the data across your Marketing Cloud journeys and campaigns.

Step 1. Login to your Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account

Log in to Salesforce Marketing Cloud and navigate to your email contact data:

1. Click Audience Builder
2. Click Contact Builder

3. Click Email Data

Step 2. Link Data Extension

Link the Mention Me Data Extension to your Salesforce email contact data so the Mention Me fields can sync automatically.

1. Go to Data Extensions
2. Click Link

3. Expand the Data Extensions folder
4. Select the Mention Me Custom Fields Data Extension

5. Map the Mention Me Email field to your system's Email Address field

6. Click Save

That’s it! Your Mention Me customer attributes are now successfully linked to your Marketing Cloud contact data using the email address.
