This guide helps you add a new set of reward codes to your live or previously running experiments via the Reward Email notification. You’ll typically follow this process after receiving an email alerting you that your rewards are running low, have expired, or are about to expire. Even if an experiment has concluded, new referrals may still occur during its shareability phase. This allows customers to refer friends and for those referees to redeem rewards. Keeping a supply of valid rewards ensures a seamless experience for them.
Only users with Marketing or Administrator access can upload new codes.
Steps to Access the Upload Module via Reward Email Notification
- The email notification highlights which experiments need additional rewards and why.
Voucher Status Meanings:
- Critical: Voucher stock is almost depleted
- Run Out: No vouchers remain
- Expiring: Vouchers are nearing customer-use expiry (Mention Me side)
- Expired: Vouchers are no longer being distributed
- The email includes two types of 'Add Vouchers Now' buttons:
- Top/Bottom Buttons: Go to Content → Rewards with filtered results
- Individual Buttons: Go straight to the specific reward needing vouchers
- Click ‘Add vouchers’ → ‘Upload a new batch’ to start the upload process.
Steps to Upload Your New Vouchers
- Click Add vouchers and then Upload a new batch
- Configure the following settings:
- Code Validity: Start and (optional) end date for the codes
- Code Usage: Single-use or multi-use
- Case Sensitivity: Enable or disable as needed
- File Naming: Use a clear and specific file name
Code validity affects how long vouchers are distributable—not how long offers run. Ensure your CRM requirements are accounted for. It’s best to provide codes valid for at least 1 year from today. Learn more here.
Recommended Settings:
- Valid for at least 1 year
- Single-use
- Non-stackable
- Designed for either referrer or referee redemption, not both
Ensure your Mention Me settings match your CRM configuration. Changes here won’t sync automatically.
- Review the configuration
- Upload a file via drag & drop or file picker
- Your file must include a Reward Code column header
- Preview sample data and test the mapping before completing upload
- Click Upload to proceed (confirmation warning will appear)
- A progress bar will indicate completion and success or failure per code
- Choose to finish or add another file to continue
