If your reward vouchers are nearing expiration or have already expired within the Mention Me platform, you can easily extend their validity to ensure your customers can continue to receive and redeem them. This is especially important to keep your referral journeys running smoothly and avoid disrupted fulfilment.
This guide will show you how to:
- Identify which experiments and rewards are affected by expiring or expired vouchers
- Navigate directly to the relevant reward from the email notification
- Manage existing voucher batches and view full upload history
- Extend the usage period of a voucher batch by adjusting the expiration date
- Understand different voucher status alerts such as Critical, Run Out, Expiring, and Expired
By following these steps, you’ll keep your voucher stock active and avoid any interruptions to reward fulfilment, ensuring a seamless experience for your customers and continued success for your referral programme.
Only users with Marketing or Administrator access can extend the validity of vouchers.
Step 1: Review the Reward Email Notification
- The email will highlight experiments requiring attention, including:
- The impacted reward(s)
- The issue (e.g. Critical, Run Out, Expiring, Expired)

Voucher Status Definitions:
- Critical: Your voucher stock is very low and needs replenishing.
- Run Out: No vouchers remain—customers can't claim rewards.
- Expiring: Vouchers in this batch are close to their customer usage expiration date (not to be confused with internal system voucher expiry).
- Expired: We’ve entered a period where new vouchers can no longer be issued.
Step 2: Access the Affected Reward(s)
In the email, you’ll see two types of Add Vouchers Now buttons:
- Large buttons at the top and bottom:
Take you to the Content → Rewards section with a filtered view showing all “Good” or “Expiring” rewards.

- Small button beneath each reward:
Takes you directly to the specific reward affected.
Recommended for quickly extending voucher validity.

Step 3: Open the Reward
- In the Mention Me platform, click Manage next to the specific reward.

- This opens the Reward Detail page, showing all voucher batches and upload history.
Step 4: View Voucher Batches
Scroll down to the Batches of Vouchers section:
- Each row = one uploaded batch
- Click the Batch ID to view individual voucher codes
- To manage a batch, click the 3-dot menu at the end of the row
Step 5: Adjust Voucher Validity
- From the 3-dot menu, select Adjust Validity

- A calendar will appear
- Choose the new expiration date for vouchers in that batch
- Click Adjust Validity to save your change

Voucher validity is now updated and extended for that batch. They’ll go back into circulation according to your new settings.
