We recommend the following steps to ensure ongoing security:
1. Regular Access Audits:
Periodically review all users who have access to the Mention Me platform. Check that each user's permissions align with their current role. This ensures that no one has more access than they need.
2. Remove or Downgrade Access Immediately:
As soon as someone leaves the company or changes roles, update or revoke their access accordingly. This minimises risk and adheres to best-in-class security practices.
3. Inactive Account Locking:
As an added layer of protection, the Mention Me platform automatically locks accounts after 90 days of inactivity. This prevents dormant accounts from being misused.
How to Revoke or Change User Access
Follow these simple steps to update user access:
Only users with full Administrator access can make changes to user accounts.
- Click "Settings & tools"
- Click "Manage users"
- Click the user settings menu (3 dots).
- Click "Disable account"
- A notification will appear that the account has been successfully disabled. "This user will no longer be able to log in to the platform"
