This guide helps you check that your referral landing page is correctly configured and functioning in the Production environment using Mention Me’s live tag on your live website. You’ll confirm the referral content appears, the form functions as expected, and the new referrer profile is created successfully in the platform.
Before You Begin

Activate Debug Dashboard
- Log in to your Mention Me Production dashboard
- Go to your Debug Dashboard
- Click 'Enable debug mode' to activate the Debug view, which helps you monitor your test activity in real time

Confirm campaign setup
- Set your campaign Running. Don't worry - customers won't be able to see anything yet.
Website Test

Navigate directly to your referral page URL.
Example:
https://yourdomain.com/refer-a-friend - Check the page:
- Embedded referral content appears clearly
- Page layout and messaging look as expected
- Right-click anywhere on the page → Inspect
- Select the Network tab and reload the page
- In the filter/search bar, type your partnercode and check the request to tag.mention-me.com:
- Under the Headers tab, confirm the script begins with
https://tag.mention-me.com - Under the Payload tab, confirm:
- partnerCode is correct
- localeCode matches your campaign
- situation = landingpage
- Under the Headers tab, confirm the script begins with
Platform Verification
- Enter a test first name, surname and email address into the referral form (e.g. testreferral2025@email.com), then submit the form and interact with the share options (copy link, preview social share buttons, etc).
- In your Production dashboard, go to Customers → Search with the test email.

Check the profile:
- Referrer has been created
- Status shows referrer is signed up to the expected Campaign and offer
- Customer details are correct
Troubleshooting

Content not appearing:
- Confirm
<div id="mmWrapper"></div>is present in your HTML - Ensure the live Mention Me script is in use (tag.mention-me.com)
- Reload in incognito with no extension blockers enabled
- Confirm

“Unable to find suitable offer” warning in debug:
- The offer is not set to Running
- → Go to the campaign and ensure offer status is set to ‘Running’

Error responses from Network request:
- 400 – Bad Request: Check the payload for missing or malformed parameters
- 403 – Forbidden: Check that you have enabled debug mode
- 404 – Not Found: Your partnercode or URL may be incorrect
