Integrating with Shopify and Shopify Plus means you can automatically create discount codes within your Shopify account and pass into the Mention Me platform.
To enable the Shopify Mention Me discount code integration, setup your discount sets and create a Shopify private app and follow the below steps for each of your Shopify stores. Each of your stores represent a different locale.
Setup your discount sets
Step 1: Install the free Bulk Discount Code Generator Shopify App
Step 2: Open the App from the Shopify Apps section
Step 3: Select Create discount set:
Step 4: Configure the Discount set:

Step 5: Configure the discount options:

Step 6: Configure the requirements / eligibility and limits:

| Usage limits | Select Limit number of times each code can be used in total and set value to 1. Select Limit to one use per customer |
| Active dates | Select a start date, but do not set an end date as this will cause the integration to create discount codes which are not valid after the end date passes. |
Step 7: Save the discount set and make a note of the name of the discount set to send to Mention Me.
Note: Repeat Steps 3 - 7 for each different type of Mention Me discount being used
Creating a Shopify Private App
In the Shopify Admin:
Step 1: Go Settings > Apps and sales channels
Step 2: Click on Develop app
Step 3: Create an app
Step 4: Update the private app name to include 'Mention Me'
Step 5: Select an app email address from the dropdown. This should be your email or someone else with permission to your Shopify site
Step 6: Go to Configuration and Click Configure Admin API Integration
Step 7: Search for 'discount'
Step 8: Set Discounts and Price rules to read and write and Save
Step 9: Go to API credentials and Install App via either of these 2 points on the page
Step 10: A confirmation message will appear. Click “Install".
Step 11: You can now retrieve the Admin API access token and store name from the url (the subdomain in front of .myshopify.com).
Note: The API access token can only be reviewed once, so copy and save it in a secure place
Step 12: Login to the Mention Me platform and navigate to the Reward Providers option under the Settings tab. You'll need administrator access to your account to complete this step.
Step 13: Click Set up a 3rd party reward provider and select Shopify:
Step 14: Enter the details of your Shopify setup here, including the Store Name and an API key:
Step 15: Email your Mention Me onboarding project manager or Client Success Manager to let them know you have created the discount sets and the Shopify App and they will ensure your rewards are setup to use the Shopify integration within the Mention Me platform.
