Mention Me can automatically send your customers' Extended Customer Revenue (ECR) data to your Ometria account. ECR is only calculated for customers who have made a successful referral.
This data is scheduled to be sent on a weekly basis and will only send ECR data for customers whose ECR has changed from the previous week.
In this guide, you will learn how to import all your customers' ECR data into Ometria as a one-off before Mention Me begins weekly updates.
Steps to Import ECR Data
- Download ECR Data from the Mention Me Platform
- Create the ECR custom fields in Ometria (if not already there)
- Create a CSV file for Ometria
- Upload your CSV file to Ometria
Download ECR Data from Mention Me
The first step is to download the ECR data extract from the Mention Me platform.
1. Login to the Mention Me Platform and navigate to the Customer Revenue page in the Advocacy Intelligence section.
2. Click the Download customer segments button. (If not visible, contact your CSM.)
3. Select all segments and click Generate.
The CSV file will take around 15 minutes to generate. You will receive an email when it's ready.
4. Click the link in the email to download the file (you may need to log in again).

Create a CSV file for Ometria
Format the downloaded ECR CSV file for upload to Ometria using Excel, Google Sheets, or another spreadsheet tool.
1. Open the file downloaded from Mention Me
2. Remove the first 3 rows so only the headers remain
3. Remove the following columns:
- Individual Revenue
- Revenue Referred
- Friends ECR Value
- Report Currency Code
- First Name
- Surname
4. Rename columns as follows:
- Email address → email
- Activity Status → properties.mm:ecr_activity
- Ecr Segment → properties.mm:ecr_status
Column names are case sensitive. Incorrect names may cause duplicates in Ometria.
5. Move the email column to be the first column.
6. Save your CSV file
Upload your CSV to Ometria

Follow these steps:
1. In the Ometria platform, navigate to your Account Name > Contact upload
2. Click Select CSV File and locate your saved file
3. Select No to adding contacts to a Segment
4. Leave Merge Mode ticked. This will only update ECR fields and preserve other data.
5. Select Unchanged for Email and Subscription mode.
This ensures the customer's opt-in status remains the same in Ometria.
6. Confirm both Data Privacy checkboxes
7. Press Upload. It may take up to 24 hours to complete. Ometria will notify you by email when finished.
8. Your import is now complete!
All customers who have made a successful referral will now have an ECR segment and activity reflected in their Ometria profile.
