This article explains how to export your order data from Shopify and upload the file to Mention Me. By providing historical order data, you’ll unlock access to advanced features such as Extended Customer Revenue (ECR) and Predicted ECR sooner.
What you need
- Admin access to your Shopify Store
- Your Mention Me Secure File Transfer login details
How to export order data from Shopify
1. Navigate to the Orders section and export your orders
Go to the Orders section in the left menu of your Shopify Store. On the top right above your orders list, select Export.
2. Select your export options
In the Export options modal, select the following:
- Export: Orders by Date
- Date range: Use the left arrow on the calendar to choose the start of the month you’re in, three years ago. For example, in March 2024, select 1st March 2021.
- Use the right arrow on the calendar to choose the most recent order date, which should be the previous day. For example, on 1st April 2024, select 31st March 2024.
- Export as: Select ‘Plain CSV File’
- Select Export Orders
You’ll receive an email from Shopify with your CSV file to download.
3. Upload your order CSV to Mention Me
Upload your Historical Order CSV file to your Mention Me account using these instructions or send it directly via Secure File Transfer.
