About this guide

This guide shows you how to add Mention Me voucher codes to your Bloomreach BAU emails to remind customers about their vouchers.

You can also use pre-built initiatives to remind customers to use their vouchers.

To add the voucher information, follow the steps below to import the initiative, which will create the following components in your Bloomreach account:

- Aggregates
- Example Banners
- Pre-built segments that are used in the example banners

Aggregates

Details of the created aggregates are:

Note: All of the aggregates all calculated based on the last voucher issued (from the referee or referrer reward) where the coupon code expiry is in the future

Aggregate name	Description
last_mention_me_referee_voucher_code	This is the voucher code for the referee voucher Example: 10USDOFF-RXAAURVZ
last_mention_me_referee_voucher_expiry	This is the expiry date of the referee voucher Example: 2024-09-03T16:19:19.000Z You can convert it to a customer-friendly date by doing this: {# last_mention_me_referee_voucher_expiry #}{{ aggregates['66b381c4edcb9ddb8ca551d2'] \| to_timestamp \| from_timestamp('%A, %d of %B %Y')}}
last_mention_me_referee_voucher_value	This is the value for the referee voucher Example: 20% or £10

Pre-built segments

The pre-built segments are used to show banners only to referees and referrers who have received a reward.

Pre-requisites

An active Mention Me powered referral program that rewards prospective new customers with a reward
A Mention Me / Bloomreach enabled integration
An ESP provider integrated with your Bloomreach account
Knowledge of Bloomreach Jinja

Step 1: Download banner aggregates

Download the attachment at the bottom of this Guide

Step 2: Import into Bloomreach

Login to Bloomreach
Click on Initiatives
Click on Import
Upload the file you have downloaded and click Import

Step 3: Add a banner to emails

You can add the voucher information to a banner by either:

Using the pre-built banner provided
Inserting the aggregates into your own banner

Follow these steps to insert the banners:

In your email, add a new row and select Custom
Drag the referee or referrer banner across into the row
Change the copy and imagery to suit your brand

Inserting the aggregates into your own banner

Follow these steps to insert the banners:

In your email, add a personalization variable and select Customer attribute
Select the relevant aggregate you want to insert (starting with last_mention_me)
If using the coupon expiry, don't forget to make it customer-friendly by changing the Jinja to be:
