About the Mention Me integration
Activate your biggest fans by feeding first-party advocacy data directly into your core marketing automation platform to deliver higher engagement, retention and revenue across your customer base.
Our integration lets you
- Send contact data and opt-ins from Mention Me referred customers to Klaviyo in real-time
- Use referral data to create coupon email reminders
- Enhance the performance of other marketing channels by using referral and advocacy data to segment and target high-value customers
Prerequisites
- Mention Me - You will need access to the Mention Me platform (If you do not have access, reach out to your Mention Me CSM or request a support request here)
Setting up the integration in Mention Me
Complete the following procedure to set up the integration in Mention Me:
- Login to the Mention Me platform, Click Connect to begin the setup process
- Agree to the Terms and Conditions to allow Mention Me to transfer data to Klaviyo on your behalf (If applicable. If you have already done this, then this will be skipped).
- Click New authentication
- Name your Authentication. If you have multiple Klaviyo Accounts, name the Authentication for the specific account so that you can recognise it easily. Or you can leave the default.
- Log in with your Klaviyo details (if not already logged on)
- Select Continue when asked to Approve the Mention Me App (this is only temporary while we get Klaviyo to review our App)
- Select the account you wish to link Mention Me to
If you have multiple Klaviyo Accounts, ensure you select the correct Klaviyo Account you want to set up the integration for (i.e. if you are setting up the integration for the US, make sure to select your US Klaviyo Account)
- Grant Mention Me permission to access your Klaviyo account
- Select the Newsletter list you would like Mention Me sourced opt-ins added to
Mention Me captures opt-ins during the referee journey or at post-purchase for a specific newsletter sign-up offer and they can added to a Newsletter list in Klaviyo as part of the Mention Me integration.
You can either use an existing Newsletter list or create a new one specific to Mention Me.
You can change the list later once the integration has been enabled, by clicking on the Edit button and stepping through that section again.
Whenever a contact is added to the relevant newsletter list, the $source will be shown as Mention MeNote: If your list has Double opt-in enabled, then the contact will only be added to the list once the customer has confirmed the opt-in

Select the country(s) you want to sync to your Klaviyo account
Top Tip: Depending on which countries you use Klaviyo in, you can select to only send data from from specific Mention Me enabled countries
Only countries where you have an active referral campaign running are shown
- Click Connect to finalise the setup and a message will be shown confirming that the integration has been successfully completed and your integration will be connected
From this point, Mention Me events and contacts will start syncing to your Klaviyo account and you can start to use Mention Me data in Klaviyo Flows and segmentation.
