In this guide, we’ll walk you through the simple steps to find the customer’s profile and update their first or last name, all within the Mention Me dashboard. We’ll also explain what to do if you need to update the Short Link field. Let’s get started.
Steps to Update Customer's Name
Step 1: Access Customer Information
Navigate to the Customers tab in the left navigation panel of the Mention Me dashboard. This is the default view if you are a customer support agent.

Step 2: Search for Customer
Use the search function to find the customer by their incorrect name or email address.

Step 3: Edit Customer Details
Once the customer's details appear, click on the pencil icon next to their name.
Modify the Firstname and/or Surname fields as needed.

Step 4: Save Changes
After updating the name, click "Save" to apply the changes.
Short Link Updates
The Short Link field cannot be changed directly within the dashboard. If you or the customer needs this field to match their name, please contact the Support team for assistance.
Email Address Handling
Email addresses cannot be changed within the platform. If a customer has signed up using the wrong email address, advise them to sign up again with the correct email. Alternatively, you can manually enrol them using the correct details.
