To get the most out of Mention Me’s features and ensure a successful referral programme launch, it’s important to provide key data before going live. In this article, you’ll learn what types of data are required based on the features included in your package, whether it's excluding existing customers from referral, unlocking Extended Customer Revenue (ECR), utilising Network Insights, or enabling advanced analytics like Earned Growth and Predicted ECR.
We’ll explain why each type of data is needed, how it supports your programme’s performance, and how to upload it securely. By sharing relevant customer or order data upfront, you’ll be able to activate powerful features sooner and drive stronger results from day one.
What data is required?
Before going live, we recommend providing us with a CSV file containing historical orders and/or customers' email addresses.
Depending on the package and features will determine how much data we need.
-
Exclude existing customers from Referral - One year of customer email addresses
OR
- Extended Customer Revenue (ECR) & Network Insights - One year of historical order data with no gaps
- Earned Growth - Two years of historical order data with no gaps
- Predicted ECR* - Three years of historical order data with no gaps
This is not available for subscription and is only for those on our Optimise, Advanced or Ultimate package.
Why is this data required?
- Customer email addresses: This will ensure that these existing customers cannot claim the introductory offer as referees (they're already customers!). You only need to provide this list once before the programme is live, since tags will automatically capture this information from that point onward
- Historical order data: This will allow us to enable advanced data features much sooner, as the algorithms and machine learning models will have enough data to start segmenting and predicting
