This guide will show you how to search for and a customer, as well as how to link two customers together within the Mention Me platform:
a) How to search for a customer
How to search for a customer
1. Go to the Customers section in the platform
2. Search for the customer by either their name, email, customer ID or share link then click on the customer’s link to open their account
- If the customer is not located in the search, then they have not interacted with the referral program previously and will need to be enrolled manually

How to add a customer
1. Go to the Customers section in the platform
2. Click Enrol a customer to campaign to see your campaign options. Please ensure the correct campaign is selected, ie based on the customer's locale, segment or status.
3. Enter the customer's first name, surname and email address
4. If the customer is a paying customer (i.e. they've purchased your product), ensure that 'This customer is a paying customer' is ticked
5. Ask the customer if they consent to receiving emails. If they do, you can tick the "Send referrer registration and forward emails". Otherwise, leave the box unticked
6. Finally click Register customer
Please note, if the customer has decided against receiving their Registration & Forward emails they will still receive the reward fulfilment emails for any successful referrals they make

How to link customers
This last option will show you how to link your new customer (referee) to an existing customer (referrer) account. You might need to do this if the new customer has been unable to complete a referral before making a purchase, e.g. because they forgot to follow a friend's share link or couldn't find their friend via name search.
1. Go to the Customers section in the platform
2. Search for the existing customer (referrer) by either their name, email, customer ID or share link then click on the customer’s link to open their account
- If the customer is not located in the search, then they have not interacted with the referral program previously and will need to be enrolled manually first
3. Scroll down to see Sharing offers and select Actions then 'Add a friend'
4. Fill out the details for the new customer on the 'Add referee' page and click save
5. Review the details on the final page and click 'confirm referral' to link the new customer (referee) to the existing customer (referrer). If the new customer has already made a purchase, the platform will give the option to confirm the purchase - allowing the referrer to be awarded
