This guide explains how to manage reward fulfilment and related communications within Mention Me, whether you’re using our automated system or handling it manually. Learn when to opt for self-fulfilment, how to configure reward settings, and how to control the emails customers receive, so you can deliver a seamless and personalised referral experience.
When to Manage Fulfilment Yourself
You may choose to handle fulfilment manually if:
- You wish to include an additional item in a referee’s first order
- You want to (or are only able to) apply credit to a referrer’s account internally
- You already have an established in-house reward fulfilment process
- You’re running a one-off campaign or competition where you need to select a winner and contact them directly
Changes to fulfilment methods can only be applied to offers in Draft status. If you need a draft version of your offer, please follow the guide provided here.
How to Change the Fulfilment Method
1. Navigate to the Draft Offer
- Go to Campaigns
- Select the relevant campaign
- Open the Draft version of the offer
- Click Design & Settings, then go to the Rewards section
2. Choose or Create a Reward
- You can select an existing reward with the desired fulfilment method
- Or, click to Create a new reward
3. Define Reward Details
When creating a new reward, specify:
- Type of reward (e.g., percentage discount, fixed amount off, free item)
- Value of the reward
- Any minimum spend requirement
- Validity period (we recommend using the default settings)
4. Set the Fulfilment Method
- Default option: Coupon code
- Other options: Coupon link or Webhook
- If selecting webhooks, ensure the webhook connection is already set up
- The other options should be left to their default settings
- For non-standard fulfilment methods (e.g., 3rd-party gift cards or reward feeds): Please contact your Client Success Manager or the Operations Team for support
5. Upload Vouchers for Your Reward
Once you've created your new reward, you’ll need to upload your new set of vouchers to complete the setup. Please follow this voucher upload guide.
Managing Emails from Mention Me
By default, Mention Me will send automated emails to both referrers and referees to notify them about:
- Reward status
- Any next steps required
- Fulfilment details
If you prefer to manage communications yourself, you can choose to suppress these emails.
How to Manage Email Communications:
- Open your Draft Experiment
- Navigate to Design & Settings, then go to Other settings and finally Email
- Deselect the relevant email options to stop Mention Me from sending these messages
